Contrast baths
The contrast baths, or hot and cold baths, are two separate baths with water temperature of 10-16ºC and 40-46ºC . It is an active treatment where the patient is marching on the spot in the bath, alternating between the warm and cold water.
CONTRAST BATH IS SUITABLE for:
- poor circulation
- swollen legs
- heavy legs
- prevention of varicose veins
- after foot or ankle injury - strain, sprain (contusion), dislocation, fracture
- foot and ankle pain, discomfort, stiffness or movement restriction.
- plantar fasciitis
THE BENEFITS OF CONTRAST BATH:
- improved circulation
- helps to mobilize the joints
- loosens tension
- reduces pain
- helps with recovery.
DURATION AND COST:
The treatment lasts between 10 and 15 minutes.
Cost: €20 (if booked separately from your Physiotherapy or Neuromuscular Therapy session)
